Balboa Park

This is a great structure in the park in San Diego.  The view took a long time to capture with the right sun angles, and is no longer possible to see it this way due to new construction surrounding this tower.  The balance of blank stucco walls and the ornate Spanish baroque detailing, and the tilework patterns on the dome are perfect and striking. The British journal Architectural Review published this drawing in its Folio after winning the AIA KRob competition.
